Skilled visa - application status update

If you have submitted a nomination application with us, you or your agent (if applicable) can check the status of your application through the Live in Melbourne portal. The standard processing time for skilled visa nomination application is 20 business days. This does not include the waiting time if we require additional information for your application.

If you have submitted an Expression of Interest in SkillSelect or a Registration of Interest for Victorian nomination, please note they are not a nomination application and are not subject to processing times. Please refer to more information on the ROI selection process.

Applications for all Victorian visa nomination are made through the Live in Melbourne portal. Upon submitting the application, you will receive an application reference number starting with "APPL". If you do not have an application reference number, you do not have an application with us.
