Home Affairs enquiry

The Department of Home Affairs manages Australian visa applications through its online SkillSelect system. Check the Department of Home Affairs’ website and decide which visa is right for you.

There are many pathways for skilled people to migrate to Australia. Use the Department of Home Affairs visa finder tool if you are unsure which visa is right for you.

Confirm if your selected visa requires state nomination with the Department of Home Affairs.

Victorian Government skilled visa nomination can support your visa application for permanent residence under the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).

The Live in Melbourne website provides information about the conditions, how to apply, and obligations of Victorian Government Nomination:

Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

Victoria's Skilled and Business Migration Program has no legal authority to deal with migration requirements or points required for migration. You should direct any questions regarding migration (beyond Victorian Government nomination) to the Department of Home Affairs.
